More command prompt useless stuff!

I know you've noticed but i owe you an apology,i was away guys and not really on my blog looking at what you were doing. :)

I still have to thank you all on the amazing readership and support(my inbox is FULL). You guys rock!

You are great!

But,Nem... WE KNOW THIS!

Yeah, yeah i know. Just wanted to say thanks.

Now onto our next topic, the one we left previously, more cmd useless stuff, yep?

Right on!

Useless CMD stuff 4:

CMDing inside CMD! Genius!

Now,what the hell is this? What am i talking about. Well type this in command promt:

cmd
Now we know that all right reserved, what a realization!

What did you get,nothing right?

Exactly, you got a command prompt INSIDE another command propmt!

Legit indeed...

Useless CMD stuff 5:

Time!

What,how is time useless?!

Well time itself is a great thing. CMD time however,is not.

Change time,what??
I honestly do not see the point in displaying time(you have it on windows taskbar!)

So this could be used in 1980s(or hell maybe even sooner)?

But more importantly?

Who the hell changes his PC time? Unless it's incorrect, the only thing this would make is,if you rely on PC,to be LATE FOR WORK!

But who knows, might be useful to tell your boss that you came on your job early and show him fake time on your PC(i didn't tell you this...).

We have one more left! Prepare...

Useless CMD stuff 6:

Exiting!

So,how is this useless?? Exiting a program is an important feature!

Yep,but not if it's in CMD.

Why?

Because of this:

Let's see what it does...

It just exists CMD!!

So,why is this a problem?

How about clicking that giant red exit button instead of typing "exit"??

Some commands are just useless it seems...

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for reading this,be sure to check out other posts, talk to you later and i'll start talking on a new topic suggested by a girl(yeah a girl, holy cow) from the States.

Until then, have a command promptie day!

Using the command prompt for Windows 7!

Nem, what the hell?! Command prompt? That's so like 1990s!

Now we have ultra quality interfaces,we don't need black and white background and text, this ain't no prison!

They took my keyboard,NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Prison certainly it is not,but command prompt(CMD) is important part of Windows.

Why?? Because it can do lots of useful and useless stuff of course!!

So let's start with USELESS of course,i love uselessness(long word...)?!

Useless stuff number 1: Star Wars!

Quickly,storm the Command Prompt HQ!

Now this one is my favorite, because it's so great,it's made in ASCII(just simple characters) and it looks good(sorta, what can you achieve with letters and numbers...wow).

So open up command prompt(Run>cmd.exe) and just type these famous lines:

telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl.

And then! Boom!

You don't say mate??
You get a lovely Star Wars Movie in full ASCII! Get it? Full HD,full ASCII...

Moving ON!

Useless stuff number 2: Title Changing!

Now,CMD usually has a title on it's window. And it's boring.

How about we change it to something else?? Shall we? >3

Try this:

title What the hell is this?! Blogspot?? I am too good for blogspot,Nem!!

Always complaining aren't ya?!

And you should get the CMD complaining how it's too good for blogspot, not a good child is it,eh??

Though i am not a specially good parent for CMD, genetics spreads it seems!

Useless stuff number 3: Color changing

So what and how complex can a command be for changing colors? :?

It's really straight-forward:

color fake

Now this won't do anything, just open up a help page for colors,we all love fakes!

Let's do 47!!
Indeed,let's try 4F!

So hot console, looking better honey!

This will give ya instant romantic color for your geeky girlfriend!

How about a command prompt for a date, wait what am i doing here,noo.....

I think that's all for useless CMD stuff here,it's 3 AM here so i need to sleep(i am human,ya know!) and rest, commands prompts are not the most exciting things on the world. :)

Until next time take care and enjoy your CMD!

This was asked by one of my readers, keep sending the e-mails and i'll sure to respond to everyone(if i can...).
